Sixth place on the starting grid and a bit of disappointment for Andrea Dovizioso, who was slowed down in qualifying by the need to stop to change the front brake discs, which on the Motegi track are under more stress than usual and have overheating problems .
In any case, the Forlì native is still determined to fight for the podium tomorrow. He has the microphone.

“I was very fast and very strong in practice, and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed to only finish sixth in qualifying. I had some problems this afternoon, but the most important one was that the front brake discs were overheating. There are many points where you have to brake hard on this circuit and the temperatures of the discs are the highest recorded in the championship. We had to change records during the session and that cost me some time. This could play a very important role in tomorrow's race because we will have to do 24 consecutive laps at full speed, and I still believe that I will challenge for the podium because I don't think I did a single good lap. I don't think sixth place is a true reflection of my potential, but it's great to see Yamaha so strong again. This is a very important race for Yamaha here in Japan and it would be great to finish on the podium."

Come on, Yamaha is a Jap motorbike, so-so...

4 more races to endure and after... you will finally ride a real racing bike :-)

Best wishes Dovi, you leave the old road for the new... Best wishes to disprove the old proverb and to get as many podiums as this year.

You are young and you will surely make it: for now the old man is driving it...

But are you sure of the choice you made?

    Well ...

    Best wishes Dovi…
