MotoGP – Motegi QP1 – Dani Pedrosa aims for a good start
Dani Pedrosa managed to make up ground this morning in the last free practice session despite the difficult track conditions. Unfortunately, all this work was nullified by the cancellation of official qualifying, which will force the Repsol Honda rider to start from the fourth row. It will therefore be necessary to get a good start tomorrow morning in the race to recover positions and fight with rivals for the championship.
“It was a rather particular situation, especially after what happened in Qatar”, says Dani Pedrosa. “This morning I improved my feeling on the bike and my lap times, but unfortunately tomorrow I will only start from eleventh position on the grid. My closest rivals will start from the front row, so I will have to get a good start and pass a few riders straight away. Our set-up is not yet perfect in the event of a dry race, but I hope to find it in the Warm Up."
