“Nice pole, important. With 10 minutes to go I was in traffic with the usual Elias and De Angelis looking for the slipstream. So I decided to return and the choice to change tires paid off. It was a great ride. It's an important pole also in anticipation of the race, we did well in all sessions, we should be okay for the race.”

“I tried to do my best. Halfway through the session the bike wasn't working and I had some stability problems; then towards the end things improved and I made some progress. It's important to have improved."

Jorge Lorenzo – Yamaha – 3nd half
