MotoGP 2015 Andrea Iannone Misano Day 1 – very difficult first sessions for the rider from Vasto who suffered a fall and lost the front at the start of FP2. The crash was probably caused by a modification to the bike which shifted the weight more to the rear, to the detriment of the front, to try to overcome the grip problems on the rear axle. Andrea still managed to finish the day with the 13th time (1'33.840).

“I think it wasn't an easy start – the words of Andrea Iannone. This morning I had grip problems on both the front and rear. We have to solve them and, by continuing to work, I'm sure it will go back to being a normal weekend. I don't know if my boxing companions are also in the same situation.

We knew that the change we made risked worsening the feeling on the front, but when you test you have to test them one at a time. If you make a package of changes you can't understand what works and what doesn't. However, I am calm and positive for tomorrow because if we look at all my sectors put together I set a good time with a used tyre. This afternoon I have never mounted a new tyre, neither hard nor soft; and we know that here, when there is little grip, the soft makes a big difference. This is an aspect that can make us see the situation as worse than it really is."
