Mick Doohan (5 consecutive 500 world champion with Honda from 1994 to 1998) through the pages of "Marca" has his say on the current MotoGP season which sees his compatriot Casey Stoner as the true dominator together with the Ducati-Bridgestone duo . Doohan also talks about Honda and Yamaha with a thought also about Rossi. Here are his words.

“Casey (Stoner, ed.) started the season very strong and has grown from strength to strength. He is doing an incredible job and although there are 6 GPs left in the end he should make it. I always thought he was a talented rider and now he is proving it. - Doohan then goes on to talk about Honda - The truth is that the bike doesn't seem to suit either Pedrosa or Hayden. Now they are listening to the opinion of the riders and we hope that next season will be better. This year there was a problem, the engineers weren't able to assimilate the information well and the bike wasn't born well. - Doohan then talks about Rossi - I'm not interested in the tax issue; I suppose that Rossi's situation today is a "mixture" of situations, a puzzle. The bike is the same all year round but I'm convinced that the Yamaha isn't that bad; the truth is that Ducati and Bridgestone are better now. Michelin is a good company but this year the Bridgestones are better. I'm convinced that if Yamaha had Bridgestones we would see some great duels between Rossi and Stoner."
