MotoGP Maverick Vinales – While the entire MotoGP world championship is on holiday for the winter break, Maverick Vinales, with the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP Team, is in South Africa for a promotional event, during which he had the opportunity to ride both the R6 and the R1 on the southern circuit African from Kyalami.

For the first time after almost twenty years, a rider from the premier class returns to the curves on that track where 4 500 GPs took place, from 1983 to 1985 and in 1992.

During the event the Spanish driver not only experienced the thrill of riding on the recently renovated circuit but also left some advice, and obviously autographs, to customers of the house of the three tuning forks present at the event.

Who knows if the event will push Dorna to bring the South African circuit back to the calendar, after it underwent major changes last year to raise the safety level.

Now the holidays begin for #25, which will end at the end of January for the first collective test session on the Malaysian circuit, where he hopes to find a bike that will allow him to consistently fight for the championship.

These are the words of Maverick Vinales: “The R World Riding Experience event was fantastic. I enjoyed riding the motorcycle at the Kyalami International Race Track and enjoyed my stay in South Africa. The people I met were wonderful and we had so much fun. Many fans came, I appreciated their support and that of the staff. I am very proud to be here and would definitely like to come back. The circuit is really nice, it's an old-fashioned track and I enjoyed riding the YZF-R1 on this track.”
