Marc Marquez won his fourth race of the season out of four held last Sunday in Jerez and the day before he had obtained his fourth pole out of four available. Incredible numbers for the man who in 2013 (the year of his debut in the top class) broke many records, including those belonging to Freddie Spencer, who held those of the youngest winner of a GP and a world championship in the premier class.

He had never won on the Andalusian circuit and the success was therefore even more desired. Honda's #93 celebrated with a special flag at the Angel Nieto corner, that of his fan club. Here is the story of his beautiful weekend.

“It was a long weekend, which actually ended on Monday, because, as you know, there was a test. We started the season very well, but to remain competitive, it is important to continue to improve. It's been almost a week since we arrived in Jerez. Last Wednesday, we visited the museum at the Jerez circuit, and it's incredible what has been done: you can follow the changes of the circuit, reading about legendary drivers. It's really beautiful. I recommend everyone to go if you haven't had the chance yet. On Thursday we had the pleasure of spending time with riders who have made the history of the Repsol Honda Team, it was a great opportunity to get together, relax and celebrate. It was incredible to be close to people who made this team so great, legends of motorcycling. On Saturday, I met some children from the foundation'Make a Wish', I spoke to them and I can say that they were really happy to be on the circuit. I gave them some t-shirts and signed some autographs. The work of this foundation is really important, and being able to be with them, give them support was really, really special. As for the Grand Prix, it was great!. It's a circuit that I really like and after several attempts, I was finally able to achieve victory. I expected a very close race and in fact, in the first laps it was. It was fun fighting in the leading group with Valentino, Jorge and Dani. The best thing was being able to celebrate the victory at the Ángel Nieto curve together with my fan club. They had prepared a special flag, because I celebrated my 100th Grand Prix, I didn't expect it! It was very touching. At dinner with the team we met the new President of Honda, Mr. Nomura, and it was a real honor. He talked about both Dani and me, he thanked us for the good results. His presence brought us luck, so I asked him to come to the Grands Prix more often! In a couple of weeks we will be back on track!”
