MotoGP – Losail Qualifying – Andrea Dovizioso on the second row

Andrea Dovizioso will start tomorrow in Qatar, in the first round of the 2010 world championship, from the second row. The rider from Forlì of Team Honda Repsol is still aiming for the podium given that his pace is very similar to that of Jorge Lorenzo. The word is up to him.

“Tomorrow we will start from the second row and this is positive because on this track it is not easy to make up positions. It is very important to start well. We had a good qualifying session after some problems during today's first free practice and our pace isn't bad. I could have gone a little faster in qualifying, but overall I'm quite satisfied. There are two or three riders with a similar pace so tomorrow our goal is to fight for the podium. Casey (Stoner) and Valentino (Rossi) have incredible pace, but I'm confident I can compete for third position provided I get a good start. Now we will analyze today's data and reflect on some adjustments that we will try in the warm-up. In particular, I was losing a lot of time in T3 and I also need to improve my start so that's where we'll focus. All in all I'm optimistic for tomorrow and I'm looking forward to this race.”
