MotoGP – Losail Day 1 – Some problems for Toni Elias

Toni Elias, Spanish rider of Team Gresini, closed the first MotoGP free practice session in Losail with the twelfth time, with a time of 1'59.094. The former Pramac Racing rider knew he was facing difficulties, in fact a month ago during testing he encountered several problems. It is certainly not the position expected of an official Honda rider (his is to all intents and purposes an RC212V Factory) but there is still time to improve, starting with the Saturday sessions. The word is up to him.

“Considering how it went in the test here in Qatar just a month ago, it wasn't exactly a bad start. In the test we were unable to find a setting that allowed us to make the most of the hard tyre. Today we managed to use it but obviously the times are those that can be expected in this first phase of use. Tomorrow we will focus a lot on this topic, as well as on the electronics that must help me exploit more the potential of the engine of my Honda RC212 Factory spec. We hope to make progress immediately and improve the position.”
