MotoGP – Losail Day 1 – Excellent start for Alex De Angelis

Alex De Angelis was the first Honda rider in the first free practice session in Losail, Qatar, where the first GP of the 2009 world championship will take place on Sunday evening. The Team Gresini rider achieved an excellent 5th time with his customer RC212V of Team Gresini. The San Marino lap was 1'58.452, 1.399 behind Stoner but very close to Jorge Lorenzo and Colin Edwards, 4th and 3rd respectively. Obviously being the first Honda rider is a great satisfaction that the former 125cc and 250cc class rider does not hide. the microphone to him.

“It's nice to be the fastest of the Hondas after suffering a bit in the winter tests... this means we're working in the right direction. I immediately had a good feeling with the bike and that helped me a lot.
