MotoGP – Losail Day 1 – Casey Stoner immediately starts in the best way

There don't seem to be any problems at Losail for Casey Stoner, who started his day at Losail with the best time in 1'57"053. The former world champion clearly seemed to be the fastest on the Qatar track, although at the end of the first free practice session he declared that there were some changes to be made to his bike to make up for a lack of rear grip.

“We started well, I'm very happy because the feeling with the bike was immediately very good”, comments the 2007 world champion. “The settings we found in Jerez seem to work well here too, we just need to change a couple of things to find more grip on the rear. However, I believe a good part of the problem is caused by the conditions of the track which is still very dirty and slippery. However, tomorrow we will have to be able to improve the set-up a little and in the meantime the track should also clean up.".
