Yamaha MotoGP – Lin Jarvis, Managing Director Yamaha Factory Racing, spoke about the recently concluded season, which saw the Tre Diapason manufacturer dominate the Top Class winter tests, win the first three races of the season and then "sink", relegating Maverick Vinales in third and Valentino Rossi in fifth position in the world rankings. The bright spot was rookie Johann Zarco. Here's home he said as reported by SpeedWeek.com.

“After all, Maverick finished third in the world championship and we can't talk about a disastrous year, because we won four races. We were very strong in the winter tests, after which we won three of the first five races. But then we unexpectedly got into trouble. And on tracks where we have always shone we ran into difficulty, so, from a technical point of view, we had a difficult year.”

The performance of the Yamaha riders was limited by the poor grip on some tracks and in the wet.

“Now we have to find solutions to our problems. The lack of grip slowed us down. This depended on the asphalt and the weather. We made some changes to the chassis, but we didn't find a solution. Motegi is an example of a very, very disappointing weekend. Then came Phillip Island and we were competitive there, we fought for the victory. It was a difficult year, also due to Valentino's injuries. First the motocross accident before Mugello and then the enduro accident before Misano, where he fractured his tibia and fibula. Rossi fought and ours wasn't a bad season, but we have to do better next year.”

Zarco Rookie of The Year

“Johann Zarco won the “Rookie of the Year” title and was the best driver of a satellite team. We are proud of it. This shows that our base is good.”

Poor Jarvis, you asked for your troubles by listening, as always, to the wrong person who got you into trouble, in fact with Mav right from the pre-season tests and the first races it seemed that the world championship was already booked, but then...
Let's hope they've learned their lesson, but I have big doubts about it given the track record of these imbezels.

I fully agree, seeing himself outclassed by maverick on the same bike drove him crazy, it convinced Yamaha to throw away a bike that had already mortgaged the world championship to maverick, incredible, I've never seen anything like it! I think that Yamaha has understood something, it's no coincidence that they involved Zarco, and I'm also sure that Rossi will get into an argument with Yamaha

Let's hope, because to err is human but to persevere is insane and in yamaKa in recent years they have made a lot of stupid things with the tavullia butterfly, let's hope it's as you say at least we'll have a big laugh.

given this moment that Yamaha is passing through, it reminds me in some respects of the years of the disaster in Ducati with Rossi, I wanted to go and reread some old statements and one in particular struck me because I was sure I had heard something similar during this season ….rossi talking about stoners:
He had only ridden one motorcycle, Luca Cecchinello's Honda, and for only one year, when he moved to Ducati. I think he thought: 'Fuck it, this bike is good, I have to win'. I, on the other hand, had been coming with Honda and Yamaha for years and I immediately understood that the bike wasn't good.
    this year talking about maverick:
Vinales came from Suzuki and at the beginning he was very energetic and fast, whereas I always had this negative feeling with the 1 M2017, says Valentino
Now I wonder, is it possible that years go by but the excuse remains the same?????

    1. H954RR said:

The infinite excuses are always the same with a few different shades and the masses of his limited retarded drinkers always take at face value the sewer that comes out of the mouth of the yellow pisspot... and they believe it every time. How sad these poor people are.

Another f@zz@t, take for example the two years in Ducati and this year, but the 4 years in Honda and the 7 years up to 2010 in Yamaha don't talk about it. You should have seen the Ducati which was a non-competitive bike from all the riders who rode it, only Stoner adapted with his riding to that bike and despite knowing it very well he went from 10 seasonal victories in 2007 to 3 in 2010 in which he had 23 falls compared to the very few in 2007, despite the bike having improved a lot given that this year the world championship was played with Dovizioso and not with Stoner. Can you explain to me why Lorenzo had so many difficulties?? I remind you that Lorenzo scored 137 points against Rossi's 139 in 2011. But can I stay here and respond to some nonsense??? Just because I'm bored.

The good test riders at Ducati. Naturally the first is Dovizioso.
