MotoGP Le Mans, Race: Nicky Hayden “This is the best result of the season”
The Ducati American finished the French GP in fifth position.
Good race for Nicky Hayden, who finished the French Grand Prix in fifth place, after a race which, due to the weather conditions, certainly didn't make things easier for him. Valentino Rossi's crash also slowed him down further, forcing him to go wide and waste time. The word is up to him.
“Wet races are always difficult, especially when you have little time to define the right set-up! I made an excellent start, recovering several positions in the first corners. In the first laps my feeling with the GP13 wasn't the best, but then it improved during the race and I managed to catch up with the leading group. Things got more complicated as the track dried, and I was trying to overtake Rossi when he crashed in front of me, and I was forced to go wide to avoid him, losing precious time. This fifth place is my best result of the season, and for a few laps I hoped to get even higher in the standings. In any case, this weekend was positive for us and we showed greater competitiveness and so I can't wait to get to Mugello!”
