MotoGP Le Mans: Danilo Petrucci “I'm very sorry we were about to perform a miracle”

Danilo Petrucci will remember the Le Mans race for a long time. The Ioda Racing driver was having a great race aboard his TR003, he was eleventh and first of the CRTs when there was a lap and a half left to go but a fall at the exit of the "Esse" Chemin aux Boeufs eliminated him from the race, leaving the road free to Ellison and Pasini respectively. “I'm very sorry – declared Petrucci – we were about to perform a miracle but on the penultimate lap I lost grip with the rear of my TR003 and flew to the ground. After a problem at the start linked to De Puniet's crash I started to make a good pace until I was the first CRT in the standings. In the second part of the race I had a problem with the visor of my helmet fogging up and I couldn't see well so Pasini and Ellison managed to catch me, then unfortunately I crashed. I have to thank my team and Iodaracing for the great work they did this weekend because the TR003 was doing very well here and the results of their great effort were also seen on the track today.”
