Stefan Bradl's start was excellent at Laguna Seca, the ninth round of the 2013 world championship. The German Honda centaur ended the first day of testing in second position, immediately behind his brand mate Marc Marquez. In the morning he was fourth. The 2 Moto2011 world champion still needs to improve the front of his RC213V when braking, so he has the say.

“Already this morning, with the track in those conditions, we demonstrated our pace but honestly the work plan wasn't perfect. We made a few mistakes but we made up for it for the afternoon session. Maybe I wasted too much time with the hard tire since I was the first to use it but it didn't work well. Then I again compared the two bikes that had swingarms with different lengths and made my choice in view of the race. With the soft tyre, at the end of the session, the fastest lap came but immediately afterwards they stopped the session due to a fall. I think we have taken the right direction but we need to improve the front braking"
