MotoGP Laguna Seca, Free Practice 3: Marquez dominates, Rossi 2nd, Lorenzo moves up
The #93 Honda continues to impress, Rossi and Lorenzo doing well
Now we can't find the words anymore, Mar Marquez is in fact racing like a veteran and also at Laguna Seca after having achieved the best time yesterday, he dominated the morning of FP3. The Honda rookie, leading the world championship from the Sachsenring, impresses with his ease of adaptation not only to the category, but also to the circuit.
For example, he had never seen this one at Laguna Seca, only yesterday he put the wheels on the treacherous and technical track for the first time, which however he seems to have already "tamed". This morning he lapped in 1:21.568, a time 184 thousandths better than that set by Valentino Rossi, who managed to get back on top right at the end. At the beginning of the session, the rider from Pesaro had encountered braking problems, also demonstrated by a forehand, which he then seems to have resolved at the end of the session.
Third time for Stefan Bradl's Team LCR Honda, which was also very strong yesterday. The 2011 Moto2 world champion is ahead of Alvaro Bautista, riding the RC213V of Team Gresini. The Spaniard who seems to have a good feeling with the US track precedes the Yamaha of Cal Crutchlow, the Ducati of our Andrea Dovizioso, the Yamaha M1 of the reigning champion Jorge Lorenzo and the Ducati of Nicky Hayden.
All of these directly access Q2, together with Aleix Espargarò's ART CRT and Bradley Smith's Team Tech 3 Yamaha SAT. However, Dani Pedrosa did not take part in the session and will therefore have to take part in Q1.
