MotoGP | KTM, Espargarò: “Points in Argentina? Historic moment for the team”

The conquest of the first world championship points in Argentina has certainly motivated the KTM team in anticipation of the upcoming MotoGP events. After a very difficult start, the Austrian team managed to score the first points of this 2017 season, bringing their bikes to fourteenth and fifteenth position during the last Argentine Grand Prix. The objective now will be to progress with performances, trying to confirm these results also in Austin, home of the third round of this 2017 world championship.

Here are the words of Pol Espargarò: “The conquest of these historic points is an important moment for the garage and for the company. We must be happy but on the other hand I think we could have done something more. We are still lacking in top speed compared to the riders with whom we can objectively duel, a shame because I felt good and the bike was excellent. We know that there is still work to do before we see some light."

Here are Bradley Smith's impressions: “Sunday was a great day, not only did we score our first points but we also took a good step forward compared to Losail. We managed to stay with the group in front for almost the entire race and we also improved our times. However, we have to continue to grow but, for now, I'm happy and we'll think from race to race."
