MotoGP – Jerez Qualifying – Andrea Dovizioso only ninth

Andrea Dovizioso was unable to improve much compared to yesterday. After the good result in the morning's free practice, the Honda rider from Forlì only finished ninth in official qualifying, and will therefore be forced to start from a third row that doesn't satisfy him.

“I think today we managed to get the second row and that's why I'm disappointed with today's result, because it's always important to start from the first two rows in the race. We showed our potential in the morning practice session, so it's a shame we weren't able to repeat that in qualifying. We made some changes to the electronics and the setup and this took us a step back, so tomorrow we will go back to the same setup as in the morning and I'm sure there will be an improvement. I will have to try to stay close to the first riders in the race tomorrow as happened in Qaar to get a good result.”
