Andrea Iannone had a satisfying first day at Jerez de la Frontera, the scene of the third race of the 2013 world championship. The Team Pramac rider, who had already been strong on this track, finished seventh at 1.012 and is the first Ducati on the track. Tomorrow he will work towards the race and a good starting position will be fundamental. The word is up to him.

“I'm happy with the result obtained, I knew that here in Jerez I could be a little faster than at the previous tracks, but it's not over. We still have to face tomorrow's intense day and we will work from a race perspective because I would like to maintain this pace and obviously get into qualifying straight away making the most of the two tires available. Contrary to what we thought, perhaps the right choice for the race is the hard tire tested in the second part of free practice, the soft one slipped a lot, perhaps due to the high temperatures, so we decided to try to change. We are improving a lot with the team and I would like to be able to ride straight away as I know I am capable of, hoping that my arm, which was much better today, will allow me to do so. I had a good feeling with the bike even if not the same as during the tests, and tomorrow I would like to work on the pace and on some changes from an electronics point of view.”
