Andrea Iannone spoke after free practice for the Spanish Grand Prix, the fourth event of the 2014 season, the first on the old continent. The Team Pramac Ducati rider ended Day 1 with the tenth fastest time and a fall which occurred this morning, which fortunately had no physical consequences. Here's what he told us at the end of FP2.

Andrea, tell us about this first day.

“All in all it went well, even if the bike works better in race configuration, we always go better there than in qualifying.”

You slipped this morning, how did it go?

“This morning I slipped when I changed bikes, we had taken the load off the front and we felt it.”

Will you use that setting again?

“I would say yes, in the end we used it again and we didn't have any more problems.”

What can make a difference here?

“I am convinced that here in Jerez the smallest details must be put in place in order to go well. We haven't decided which setting to use yet, I like both, maybe we'll do a mix.”

This afternoon the track was at 52° and on Sunday there should be the same conditions, how do you see the race if it were run in this climate?

“I see it as very tough, it will be a very critical situation, a bit like last year, we suffer a lot from the heat!”

How's the rear tire doing?

“Let's say it 'works', it's certainly better than in Argentina.”

    Go Iannone.
Even if his final position doesn't say it, he maintained a better pace than Dovizioso, lapping with good continuity from 1.40.mezzoalto, to 1.41.basso, at least 3 tenths better than Dovi.

Excellent Marc, he seems more and more irrepressible.
