The race lasts only three laps Andrea Iannone who crashes and retires while he was in full battle with Hayden's Ducatis and ahead of Andrea Dovizioso. It was truly a difficult weekend for the Pramac team rider who, after yesterday's fall, only got back on track thanks to the care of Doctor Costa's Clinica Mobile. Even though he wasn't at his best, the rider from Vasto was still going really fast and after an excellent start from the fourth row, he was in the wake of his brand mate Hayden, lapping in 1'40.642, but after just three laps he slipped and lost the front end.

“I hoped that this would be a better weekend for me – said Andrea Iannone – I was very confident and I knew I could do well, also because this is the track on which I have done the most kilometers with the MotoGP. We didn't start badly at all, on the contrary, before the crash we did an excellent job. Unfortunately, the crash put me in a bit of difficulty physically, I lack a bit of strength, perhaps also due to the drugs I'm taking, and I was in difficulty. In the warm up I suffered quite a bit, but thanks to the work of the Mobile Clinic and Dr. Costa I was ready for the race and I believed I could be there until the end. I started well, the starting point wasn't the best but, both in the first and second turns, I managed to overtake a few riders straight away. I wasn't lapping slowly and I'm sorry about how it went, the race lasted very little but like yesterday I lost the front. Luckily I didn't hurt myself. As always, I thank the team for the work we are doing together and now I think about Le Mans and we will reflect on the Mugello tests"
