MotoGP: Honda will propose a downward renewal offer to Pedrosa at AssenMotoGP: Honda will propose a downward renewal offer to Pedrosa at Assen

According to the rumors in the paddock over the Assen weekend, Honda should make its renewal proposal to Dani Pedrosa and very probably, as reported by the motocuatro.com website it will be a low offer, even three times lower than what the Spanish driver now perceives.

The offer will certainly be rejected and so a negotiation will begin, because Right now Honda wants to buy time. For now the HRC is only sure of one thing: a motorbike next year will be for Marc Marquez, while there is total uncertainty about the other bike. Many on the team would like to keep Dani, but as a second guide, then various hypotheses are being studied, such as the sensational return of Red or even you want to see how the season will go Bradl e Baptist to decide in a few months if they are ready for a place in the Repsol team.

Dani Pedrosa has been racing for the official Honda team for 7 years now, but in the last two years, practically since Casey Stoner arrived, the Spaniard stopped being the first driver for the HRC team to start doing the second. Then when the Australian announced his retirement at the end of the season, everyone knows that Honda wanted to sign Lorenzo to replace him, but then the Majorcan decided to sign another two years with Yamaha. This news, unlike what one might think, is certainly not favorable to Pedrosa because the leaders of the winged company had decided for next year to make an all-Spanish team with him and Lorenzo, but now we know that it will be impossible and therefore now everything is to be decided again for the Repsol team.

Of course it will be difficult for Pedrosa to decide what to do
: accept a low-cost contract with Honda or leave? A door could open for the Spaniard in the team Yamaha which is increasingly determined not to renew with Ben Spies. The house of the three tuning forks is looking for a strong rider who motivates Lorenzo and pushes him to give his best. This year it is Casey Stoner who is forcing the Mallorcan to give 110% but who will do it next year? It has been seen in these two years that the American has not been able to undermine Lorenzo's internal leadership and therefore hiring Pedrosa could precisely do this, but let's remember that there would also be a certain Valentino Rossi who would pay to return to the internal Yamaha team.

It will be "played", it will be "cooked", as many str..., er, motorbike enthusiasts claim, but who knows why everything always seems to revolve around the Vale... well!

Rossi-Lorenzo is like saying Alonso-Hamilton, there can't be two first riders in a team, otherwise you could lose precious points for the constructors' championship. Whatever happens, get it out of your head that Rossi will win another world championship, because with the Ducati he is a real loser, with the Japanese Honda and Yamaha he made the history of the world championship, but there are new promises and old foxes who put it in Rossi's pocket.

He may be poor but he has 14 points less than Stoner, he doesn't seem so unlucky to me...But if Honda thinks they're betting everything on Marquez then they're very wrong. The only one who can guarantee the maximum is Rossi but out of spite Honda won't take him.

Yes... the one who "played" with the competitive motorbike would come back to "play" them to everyone!!!! These “young people” have gotten used to it too well lately…..

…it's true, he would come fourth instead of ninth ah, ah!!!

Get your "idols" to 9 world championships... then we'll talk about it again...

I see it as tough for Pedro for the renewal, I don't know but after his uncle's latest statements in an interview on the future of MotoGP after Sunday's F1 race:
"I'm quiet. Valentino will be riding a competitive bike next year, but I can't tell you what it is. It's still too early to talk: in 2013 we will see Rossi fight for victory again!“.
    To the wise …………
The uncle is there and will always be there!

...when I read that Micbatt thinks that one should be idolized only for his world titles and not for what he currently represents it makes me sick...you live in the past, the future belongs to Lorenzo the Magnificent...uncle aside...ah, I forgot, hope in the rain!!!

      1. micbatt said:

You are right …. I have to hope for rain because the "red gate" really looks like a dinghy!!!

Fatman I'll give you an example on the value of world titles with the story of an immense champion.
I said in an article on this blog: "Gilles "the myth" won little but demonstrated a lot, unlike someone who won a lot but demonstrated, especially now, little."
A friend of mine added: "in these sports what you give is worth it, not what you win... unfortunately the new generations only know how to calculate the world championships won, the races won, the fastest laps and the pole positions, and they lose all the poetry".
If we then also count how they were won ………………..
        I think you agree, right?

It's true what you say. But the difference is that Rossi, in addition to giving us emotions, won 9 titles. Do you want to remove 3? 4? 5? …. But you can't deny the emotions that he gave us and that he still gives us whenever he can.... because... let's be clear... MotoGP has been boring as hell lately… the last time I had fun was Le Mans 2012…
About Gills…. unfortunately he lived too little to give us the World Cup but long enough to give us emotions.... and Senna did both…. as you can see, emotions and titles can go hand in hand.

      4. H954RR said:

Micbatt, tastes are not the same for everyone, just like you like it so as not to get bored and to make a race interesting you need to have reds in front for me it's an "orgasm" to see even just Casey alone to see how he drives or it's great to see pole being taken every lap in qualifying or even to see Lorenzo, Casey and even Pedrosino or whoever is there to have fun fighting.
Personally, I see MotoGP as much more fun now with the unknown at each race as to who wins or whether one or the other improves, let's take into account that even Rossi was solitary in his day, apart from when he had a vehicle compared to the others which allowed him to play, but no one was ever told that the competitions were boring.
Regarding the legends of Gilles and Senna I think we all agree.

      5. micbatt said:

OK. But you can't deny that lately the spectacle of "hand to hand" is missing... or at least it is much rarer...
Stoner is spectacular to drive and this is beyond doubt…. but personally I would prefer more competitive races and unfortunately lately it's not always the same as it wasn't when Rossi went solo...

      6. H954RR said:

And come on let's hope that Honda resolves the chatter at least with Lorenzo, Casey and I would add Pedrosa they will have a bit of a battle even if honestly Dovi, Cal and Bau are starting to pull and they will put on a show too.
We'll see next year if Rossi will return although unfortunately it will be the last one I watch because I don't give Sky the satisfaction!

      7. fatman said:

…since the GP world championship will be broadcast on Sky and Mediaset has won the rights to SBK, I wouldn't be surprised if the reds move into this category…maybe not immediately, in a year or so (2014!)…so we'll see if the fans true Rossi fans, if he were to win, will claim that it is a B series world championship... Biaggi vs Rossi, technique against ass and tires... what a spectacle... in my opinion Biaggi is the first to reach 6 world championships than Rossi to win a race with Ducati ah, ah!!!

      8. fatman said:

…and with this I can start uncorking one of my proverbial daily beers… Nastro Azzurro, of course… to remember the good times (gone)…

      9. H954RR said:

You know I thought so too for 2014, have a nice cold beer in the meantime!

but we're talking about an uncle who won the World Cup as a gift... blah blah blah!!! but can you explain to me how to steal a world championship in mgp?? where is the referee or what??? ahhhh already the rubber.... I saw 1 obvious one in 2007!!! to the wise,…. maybe we should take away 1 world title from him because he won because of the tires and it's not Rossi or Honda or Yamaha but the Kangaroo and Ducati!!!! in fact, from the following year with the single tire the music changed!!! the gate is back gate and stoner soooo stomach ache!!! but people don't seem to remember!!!!

    1. fatman said:

...Casey didn't win in 2007 in a single tire regime, Michelin was still there...then abandoned by everyone due to Rossi's decision to switch to "Bridg"...coincidentally the following year he won, but it's just a coincidence !!!
When you are not tied to a specific manufacturer you need to be lucky and find the tire that fits your bike... that year Casey was lucky, it's true, but everything else was earned... especially in Barcelona in 2007...even Meda was shocked that Rossi didn't manage to pass him ah, ah!!!

Despite the fact that Dorna is Spanish and that there is a real preference of the organization for the Iberians, I have my doubts that they will put 2 Spaniards in HRC. Could it be a sign of a return of Rossi, the possible confirmation of Pedrosa?

    1. H954RR said:

In my opinion the games have already been decided but they haven't said anything yet.
1 Honda will make an offer 3 times lower than Pedrosino.
      2 Ducati negotiates with Cal.
      3 Uncle's statements for 2013.
      4 Repsol pushes for reds.
      5 Rokie rule removed.
I think Rossi will be in Honda with Marquez next year.
And by magic at Honda the chronic chatter will disappear, I would make bets on this point.
      Ah ah ah!

      1. fatman said:

...I would be very sorry, but I think that Pedro will go to Yamaha and Rossi will take his place...in this way Camomillo could win his first world championship...so everyone will be happy...even and above all the true Ducatisti, not those of the last now...but why is it worth not going to a Ferrari instead of Massa? From his friend Alonso?

      2. H954RR said:

In Yamaha together with Lorenzo it is difficult for Pedrosino to win a world championship and if Rossi takes his place I am also sorry given that he has always argued that it is the rider who makes the difference, evidently in his case this is not the case, but if truly at his arrival at Honda should the chatter disappear then MotoGP is truly a mafia and totally rotten, in that case how disgusting!

  • fatman said:

…maybe he doesn't go in Ferrari because he takes 3 seconds per lap? What changes, in MotoGP he takes 2 ah, ah!!!

    1. H954RR said:

      3 seconds?
You're too optimistic, I'd say at least 10 in F1.
