"It's a shame for the rookie of the year title, but with Martin we had unequal weapons" added the driver from Rimini
MotoGP GP Valencia Ducati Esponsorama Avintia2021 – Enea Bastianini closed the Valencia Grand Prix, the last stage of the 2021 MotoGP, in ninth position.
The rider from Rimini, who started from the rear, managed to constantly recover positions. Unfortunately, with Martin's second place, the #23 lost the rookie of the year title at the last race.

“Incredible season. We did really good things. Today we did well but there is regret about yesterday. It could have gone differently, I had a great pace and I gave it my all. With Martin it wasn't a battle on equal terms but we were there and we hammered for the title of rookie of the year. We were riding fast, but I was at my limit. I saw that the leaders were a few seconds away, I tried to recover but I was on the hook. The important thing is to have believed in it and tried and to have had a good race in Valencia too. This season hasn't been easy."
