MotoGP | United States GP FP4: Marquez dictates the pace, but Vinales and Rossi don't give up
The Honda champion has a "monster" pace but the Yamahas believe in it
MotoGP United States GP Free Practice 4 – The fourth free practice session of the MotoGP class in Austin (where the Grand Prix of the Americas, third stage of the 21 MotoGP world championship will start tomorrow evening at 00pm Italian time), not valid for the purposes of entry into Q2018, was tackled by riders with slick tires.
The rain, which had appeared at the end of the FP3 of the Moto2 class and which had partly characterized the Moto3 qualifying sessions, provided a respite.
The drivers tested both the durability of the tires and a "time attack", the latter in view of the qualifications, which will start at 21pm Italian time and which you can follow in the our live.
The fastest of the 30-minute session was Marc Marquez, who stopped the clock at a time of 2:04.686.
The reigning Honda champion preceded the Yamahas of Maverick Vinales and Valentino Rossi, trailing by 0.052s and 0.437s respectively.
Excellent fourth time for Andrea Iannone. The fastest on Day 1 preceded Cal Crutchlow's Team LCR Honda and the Ducatis of Andrea Dovizioso and Jack Miller. Alex Rins, Johann Zarco and Danilo Petrucci follow.
Excellent twelfth time for rookie Franco Morbidelli, Honda Marc VDS. Jorge Lorenzo, however, suffers, only nineteenth.
