MotoGP GP Qatar Ducati 2021 – Jack Miller closed the first day of free practice at the Qatar Grand Prix, the first stage of the 2020 MotoGP, with the best time.

The Australian driver finished third at the end of FP1, despite a crash without consequences at turn 4, he then managed to improve his time by over a second during the second session held in the evening, closing with a fastest lap in 1:53.387, just 7 thousandths from the current circuit record.

Statements Jack Miller GP Qatar Day 1

“It was a bit of an uphill start due to the crash in FP1, but then the day went well. In the afternoon the wind had made the conditions quite difficult, but towards the evening I found the feeling again with my Desmosedici, managing to set an excellent time with the soft tyre, just 7 thousandths of a second from the track record. I'm very satisfied: it was important to be able to close these first two sessions well because tomorrow in FP3, with the higher temperatures, it will be very difficult to improve. Today we were all very close and I expect very fast times in qualifying. I can't wait to get back on track tomorrow!”.
