MotoGP | GP Portimao Sprint Race, Miller: “I'm happy with the weekend, at least so far”

GP Portimao MotoGP 2023 KTM Factory – Fourth place for Jack Miller in the Sprint valid for the Portuguese Grand Prix, the opening round of the 2023 MotoGP season.

The Australian, after the good performances in yesterday's free practice, managed to battle steadily in the top positions of the standings, losing the podium - due to the soft compound on the front - only in the final kilometers of the GP. In any case, a "profitable" Saturday that the Australian hopes to replicate tomorrow too. Brad Binder was only 12th, never really fighting for positions inside the points zone (nine).

“I'm very happy with the weekend we've had so far. The bike is going well and session after session we are going stronger and stronger. It was nice to live a few meters as leader of the Sprint, despite a less than positive start which forced me to recover. Luckily I was able to push and this allowed me to experience some good battles and some good overtaking. I didn't expect to fight with Marquez, Bagnaia, Martin and others, but in the end it was good and I enjoyed it. I really like the KTM, I don't have many kilometers on my back but I think it has a lot of potential. It's interesting to drive and all this gives me confidence. I like this new challenge and we hope we can continue to grow together. The front tire was a gamble and in the end I started to suffer from wear. All this didn't allow me to push to the end, but in the end it went well."
