MotoGP | Gp Mugello Race, Vinales: “A difficult weekend and day”

MotoGP Gp Mugello Aprilia Racing – Maverick Vinales finished the Italian Grand Prix, sixth stage of the 2023 MotoGP, in twelfth position.

Maverick was unable to overcome the problems that limited his performance throughout the weekend. Starting from twelfth place, he finished twelfth, without therefore being able to improve his overall performance. Lack of confidence with the tyres, especially on the front, and the lack of grip also plagued Maverick in the race, so much so that only in the final laps did he manage to climb back up to the final placing.

“It was a difficult weekend and day, I was never able to find acceptable grip, especially on the front, so much so that it was difficult to even stay on the bike. In the race I started to lose grip from the second lap and only towards the end was I able to overtake. Of course we will have to analyze the data and understand why this happened to us. And continue to work to improve."
