MotoGP | Gp Mugello Race, Espargarò: "We didn't have the speed of the Ducati"

MotoGP Gp Mugello Aprilia Racing – Aleix Espargarò finished the French Grand Prix, sixth stage of the 2023 MotoGP, in sixth position.

Starting from eighth place, the Spanish driver only recovered a couple of positions at the finish line, never managing to really fight for the positions that count.

“I honestly had no pain yesterday and today thanks to the MotoGP doctors. Today I raced quite well, but we didn't have the speed of the Ducati. I'm sad because I wanted to give Aprilia a good result but 10 seconds are too many from the winner, we have to work to improve. On Saturday I had a good lap, the bike is better than last year but our competitors have improved more. We need to understand where to work. It's all very delicate. It doesn't take much to make a mistake. Last year I could fight for podiums and victories, but this year I'm struggling.”
