MotoGP | GP Mugello Race, Brad Binder: “We could have done better”

MotoGP GP Mugello Red Bull KTM – Satisfactory race for the KTM Factory team in the Mugello Grand Prix which ended with both riders in the points. Brad Binder recovered from 16th place to seventh place while Miguel Oliveira took ninth place after a comeback from 15th place on the starting grid.

“It was a weekend full of ups and downs. It was a challenge to find something I could understand and getting comfortable on the track wasn't easy. After this morning's warm-up, however, I had a clear idea of ​​what I needed to do to make a step and have a good race. The team did a great job to give me this opportunity. I felt strong, especially in the last ten laps. We still need to work on our speed and pace with new tyres. I lost time at the beginning, but I managed to recover towards the end. I'm also a little disappointed today because I know we could have done a little better than what we did. We didn't have the speed at the start, but now we have a lot of data on the changes we made this weekend and I hope this will help us for next weekend in Barcelona."

“A good race and we managed to be competitive. The rear grip dropped a lot, more than I expected and this affected my pace. I think I could have finished closer to the front group. Anyway, we got a Top 10 position and that was important for me and the team after the failure to score at Le Mans. I go to Barcelona motivated and eager to do better."
