MotoGP | GP Misano Day 1: Nakagami, “I want to enter the top ten”

Fifteenth position for Takaaki Nakagami on the first day of competition valid for the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix, the thirteenth round of this 2018 MotoGP world championship.

The Japanese rider from the LCR team improved his performance during the afternoon, obtaining excellent data in view of Sunday's race. Now the objective will be to improve on the flying lap, so as to battle for the top ten positions in tomorrow's qualifying.

Here are the words of Takaaki Nakagami: “I have mixed feelings because my feeling with the bike is slightly better than the last test, even though the lap time is more or less the same. In FP2 we tried a new long-distance set-up and it was quite positive, although the feeling in the third sector wasn't good and I had an accident in a high-speed corner. I'm lucky because I don't have any injuries. We are looking forward to our second day here and hope the weather is good. The objective will be to improve the lap time, so as to place ourselves inside the top 10."
