MotoGP | GP Misano 2 Qualifying: Joan Mir, “Everything is going wrong”

“This is the classic weekend where everything seems to go wrong. Today just wasn't our day. In FP3 I managed to show a good pace, but as the track dried out we were unable to confirm ourselves in qualifying. Difficult to get comfortable with the slicks in these conditions. The crashes in FP4 and Q1 did the rest. Tomorrow should be dry and I hope for a better result, even if we start from a position so far back in the starting grid."

“The time set allowed us to flourish in Q2, but unfortunately we will start from 13th place. Tomorrow the conditions should be quite different and therefore we expect a totally different pace. I had a bad fall this morning, fortunately I didn't suffer any consequences and I'm ready to give my all in the race. Today was tough for everyone, but tomorrow the conditions should be more lenient. We already know which set-up to use for the race, which is why we will try to optimize the entire package as best as possible."
