MotoGP Gp Sepang Press Conference – After missing three races following the injury suffered in Thailand, Jorge Lorenzo returns. The Majorcan from Ducati was present at the press conference on the Thursday preceding the Malaysian Grand Prix.

#99 underwent surgery just eight days ago to reduce the wrist fracture and to 'fix' a damaged ligament. His condition isn't 100% yet, his cast was only taken off yesterday and his wrist still isn't moving at its best.

The Spaniard is determined to get on the track to check the conditions, even if expectations, from a result point of view, are not very high.

These are the words of Jorge Lorenzo: “I feel better than in Motegi. The operation went well and I am definitely stronger. I had surgery a week ago and yesterday I took off my cast. Mobility is not at its best and we must try to speed up recovery. It will be complicated. I preferred to come back here than to Phillip Island because it would have been worse there. Let's see if I can run all weekend. I wanted to get back on a motorbike, I haven't ridden for almost a month, I'm worried about losing the feeling with the motorbike, and about my physical condition since I haven't been able to train. Maybe I won't fight for an important result, but this will help achieve better results in Valencia. Tomorrow we'll see how I feel on the bike."

The Spaniard was then asked if it wouldn't have been better to return directly to Valencia to avoid taking risks and above all thinking about next season in Honda: “The most important thing is to test the bike. I am a man who thinks about the present and now I am a Ducati rider, after Valencia I will think about next season. Now I'm looking for a feeling with the bike and I'll try to see if I can be competitive. We will see. We are here and depending on the sensations I will decide what to do."
