MotoGP | Jerez GP: Valentino Rossi Brand Ambassador for Yamaha, "Great emotion"

MotoGP Gp Jerez de La Frontera – On the occasion of the Spanish Grand Prix, the fourth stage of the 2023 MotoGP, currently underway on the Jerez circuit, Valentino Rossi was appointed Brand Ambassador for Yamaha.

The Pesaro native has signed a multi-year contract as an official ambassador.

The story of Yamaha and Rossi began with that iconic victory at the first race in South Africa in 2004. From then on, the partnership experienced plenty of excitement and success: taking 142 podiums, celebrating 56 GP victories and winning four MotoGP world titles in 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2009, which proves that Rossi and Yamaha are inextricably linked.

“This agreement between me and Yamaha certainly gives me great emotion. We have worked together for many years in the past, so it seems natural. After my retirement from MotoGP, I continued to train and ride motorcycles. I've always thought about continuing to run in one form or another. During my MotoGP career I rode Yamahas off the track as part of my contract, but even after I retired I continued to use Yamaha bikes because I enjoy it. I am happy that the agreement has been signed, so Yamaha and I can work together in this new way.”
