MotoGP | Gp Jerez Sprint Race, Vinales: “They made us race in terrible conditions”

MotoGP GP Spain Jerez Aprilia Racing – Maverick Vinales did not finish the Sprint Race of the Jerez Grand Prix, fourth stage of the 2024 Motorcycle World Championship.

The Spanish driver, in difficulty during qualifying, was the author of a good partial comeback, until he fell victim, like many other drivers, to a damp patch on the track.

“This is a difficult track for us. The pace was good, I had the same as the leaders. Today the topic is the state of the track. They made us race in terrible conditions. They let us go bowling. At the start Aleix crashed due to the wet track. It's absurd that they make us run like this, there were no conditions for racing. The drivers should get more together because nothing would have happened if we had waited half an hour for the track to dry. Regardless of the tire choice in qualifying, we suffer a lot when the track is not too wet. Today we understood that we have to improve in qualifying in these conditions. We have to continue to grow.”
