MotoGP GP Jerez Ducati Pramac Team – Jorge Martin won the Sprint Race of the Jerez Grand Prix, fourth stage of the 2024 Motorcycle World Championship.

Starting from the front row, the Spaniard took the lead of the race after a brief battle with Binder. Once in the lead, due to a "stumble" he lost the position to Marc Marquez until the latter was the victim of a slip. The Spaniard extends his lead in the world championship standings. These are Martin's words to Sky Sport MotoGP.

Statements Jorge Martin Sprint Race GP Jerez MotoGP 2024

“Today was a day where it was easier to fall than finish. I used the warm up lap to understand where to pass and do the first laps well. I had some problems in the first laps but I managed to pass Binder who was strong. I made a mistake on 7th and Marc passed me. I would have finished second if Marc hadn't made the mistake. Tomorrow's race will be another story. I went into the race in the dark with the grip on the back. I think for me the medium tire is better and stable. I believe that with so many riders in form like now it will be a long and complicated race. I wasn't able to detach the lowering device until the fifth corner, we need to see if we can change something. The important thing was to get a good start. I thought I was going to crash at 7 and I knew Marc would pass me.
