MotoGP | GP Jerez Tests: First half for Bagnaia, many crashes
The two-time world champion precedes Vinales and Marc Marquez
MotoGP GP Spain Jerez Tests – Francesco Bagnaia on Ducati achieved the best time in the second test session of the Jerez Grand Prix, the only session valid for direct access to Q2. The two-time world champion recorded his best time in 1:36.025, ahead of Maverick Vinales' Aprilia and Marc Marquez's Gresini Racing Ducati.
Step forward for Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team), author of the fourth fastest time, ahead of the Ducati of Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) and the KTM of rookie Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3).
Seventh position for Aleix Espargarò (Aprilia Racing), ahead of Enea Bastianini's Ducati Factory.
Closing out the TOP 10 times and directly entering Q2 are: Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) and Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP).
Of note are the falls (fortunately without consequences) of: Marco Bezzecchi, Raul Fernandez, Maverick Vinales, Fabio Quartararo, Alex Marquez, Miguel Oliveira, Dani Pedrosa, Jack Miller and Brad Binder.
They will have to pass through Q1, among others: the KTM Factory of Jack Miller and Brad Binder, Dani Pedrosa (wild-card for this weekend), Franco Morbidelli, Fabio Quartararo, Luca Marini and Lorenzo Savadori (wild-card for this weekend).
