MotoGP | Gp Brno Day 1: Petrucci, "The new fairing is good, difficult podium but we'll try" [Video]

MotoGP GP Czech Republic Ducati Pramac – Danilo Petrucci achieved a great second place on the first day of free practice of the MotoGP class in Brno, scene of the Czech Republic GP, tenth race of the 2018 MotoGP championship.

The Terni rider from Team Pramac Ducati also tested a new fairing with different wing profiles and the comments were more than positive. Here's what the next official Ducati rider had to say.

“It was a positive day, even if we didn't go very well this morning. In the break between FP1 and FP2 we worked a lot with the team and did an excellent job. We could fight for the podium, even if there are many fast riders and someone like Dovizioso or Marquez is hiding."

HIGH TEMPERATURES AND TIRE CONSUMPTION

“Tire wear will be fundamental in this heat, the bike at the end of the session is completely different compared to the start of the session. Tomorrow we will have to prepare two bikes, one for qualifying and one for the race, with completely different settings."

OPPONENTS AND OBJECTIVE

"Dovizioso e Marquez they hid but have a very fast race pace. At a certain point in FP2 I followed Dovizioso and I thought he was going slowly, but instead he was on used tyres, with more laps in the race, so he is one of the favourites. Marquez was also very fast, then the Yamahas with Rossi and Vinales they will come out, the podium is possible, but it will be very difficult.”
