MotoGP GP Czech Republic Ducati Day 1 – Jorge Lorenzo expected a better return to the track than the one he had in Brno, scene of the Czech GP, tenth stage of the 2018 MotoGP.

The Majorcan Ducati centaur was in difficulty both in the morning and in the afternoon and at the moment he still doesn't feel "his", at least on this track, the Desmosedici GP18, which he had brought to success at Mugello and in Barcelona.

REPORT DAY 1 GP CZECH REPUBLIC BRNO

“It was a very complicated day: I had no feeling with the front but above all I lacked grip with the rear and for this reason I'm much further behind than I thought. During the two sessions we were unable to improve the bike and, despite the changes we have made, we are still too far from the fastest riders. Maybe if I had put on new tires in the end I could have ended the day closer to the leaders, but in any case we lacked speed and rhythm. Tomorrow we will try to make a radical change to the set-up and enter directly into Q2.”

SETTING CHANGE

“Tomorrow we will try to radically change the setting, to try to reverse the situation. It's not just a question of temperature, it's that I don't have a feeling at the moment and the circuit also has more potholes than in the past.”

NEW DUCATI FAIRING

“Danilo (Petrucci, ed.) tried it today and gave a positive opinion. Tomorrow we will try it too, although I don't think it will make a big difference."

WARM AND LITTLE GRIP

“Today was a very hot day, but it was hot for everyone, we all went slower and I think it will not be possible to replicate the times of 2016 and beat the track record. As I said, the track also has more holes in crucial points."
