MotoGP | Austrian GP FP4: Marquez takes the last session, Ducati in the wake, Rossi 12th
Last session before qualifying completely dry, Yamaha crisis continues
MotoGP GP Austria Free Practice 4 – The fourth free practice session of the MotoGP class at the Red Bull Ring, not valid for the purposes of entry into Q2 (where the riders work both from a race perspective and for the single lap), saw the riders take to the track with tires slick, because the rain in the morning left room, at least in this session in the sun.
The fastest of this fourth free practice session was Marc Marquez, who stopped the clock at a time of 1:24.139.
The Repsol Honda Team rider, also the fastest in FP3, preceded the official Ducatis of Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso, trailing by 0.218s and 0.307s respectively.
Fourth time for Andrea Iannone, who with the Suzuki preceded the Honda of Cal Crutchlow's Team LCR and the Ducati of Danilo Petrucci's Team Pramac.
Closing out the Top Ten are Alvaro Bautista, Johann Zarco, Dani Pedrosa and Alex Rins' Suzuki. Still difficulties for the official Yamahas, Rossi is twelfth, followed by team-mate Maverick Vinales.
We remind you that Rossi will have to pass through the Q1 "trap" to try to access the final phase of qualifying.
