Bastianini was the author of a good sprint at the start, exiting the first corner in fourth position. The driver with number #23, despite losing ground from the leading group, remained fourth until halfway through the race. In the final, Enea then lost ground and dropped to seventh place, but managed to get the better of Miller, arriving sixth at the finish line.

“It was a difficult race. I thought I could fight for the podium, but I lacked rear grip: I lost ground from the leaders straight away, and then lost further positions. Fortunately the situation then stabilized and I managed to overtake Jack (Miller) at the end and finish sixth. It's a problem we hadn't encountered previously this weekend so we'll have to look at the data together with the team to understand what happened. I've always had a podium pace and this is the goal for tomorrow's race, so I remain positive."
