“It was a difficult week but I'm lucky because I had fewer vision problems than in the past and in Argentina I didn't want to take any risks. This week I made another visit, I'm back on the bike, I'm not arriving in the best of my conditions but we'll try to do some excellent free practice and then continue with the weekend. I don't remember much about the accident, I remember watching the videos, Indonesia was one of the worst weekends of my career. Many falls and some I didn't understand but that's the past, the time has come to rebuild trust. Victory is possible but it is not the best way to approach a race weekend."

“It wasn't an easy start, in Argentina the pace wasn't bad but in the first laps I had a lot of difficulties and it was difficult to recover. It definitely wasn't an easy race but last year it went well here and I think we can achieve some good results. I'm curious to see what the new asphalt will be like. Nine different riders on the podium and three different winners, it's a completely different situation compared to last year but it's fun for the fans."

“First of all it's strange to feel like I'm first in the world championship, I'm very happy and I have a lot of confidence compared to the past, now I know I can win. It won't be an easy weekend because last year we had a lot of problems here but with the new asphalt we're sure it will be better and our new bike allows us to have better results. I'm happy to have won in Argentina, we were able to demonstrate in the first three stages that we are competitive. I like challenges and can't wait to get started!
Statements Jorge Martin, Austin GP Press Conference
“After the performances in Argentina I am confident for this weekend. It's good to get to the end but I would like to do more, last year I came close to getting on the podium but I got a long lap. I think we can have a great race this year, we have to organize ourselves in the same way we organized ourselves in Argentina. The 2022 bike is easier, it will certainly go better than last year, we have to try to calibrate everything and manage it as best as possible"
