MotoGP | GP Aragon Qualifying, Aleix Espargarò: “A good starting base”

GP Aragon Aprilia – Encouraging fourth time for Aleix Espargarò in the qualifying session valid for the Aragon Grand Prix, 15th round of the 2022 MotoGP world championship. After yesterday's difficulties, caused by a less than ideal feeling with the RS-GP, the Spaniard managed to find the key to the problem, obtaining a placing which gives the team hope in view of the race which will start tomorrow afternoon at 14.00pm.

“There was a lot of pressure today, I have to admit. After yesterday's two mistakes, I was aware that I had to aim for a good result but I also knew that I wasn't allowed any more mistakes. Not entering Q2 directly certainly didn't improve the situation, but I have always remained convinced that I could do well. In the end we succeeded, fourth position is a good starting point. We're also there on the pace but I'm a bit worried about managing tire wear, some riders are faster than me and to stay with them I might have to put more stress on the rear tire when accelerating."
