MotoGP | GP Aragon Qualifying: Rossi, “It's impossible to improve” [Video]

MotoGP Gp Motorland Aragon Movistar Yamaha Qualifying – Yamaha's bad moment continues and consequently also that of Valentino Rossi. Not only has the Iwata company not won in 22 races, Assen 2017 with Rossi (a fast that will most likely rise to 23), but today in Aragon it experienced one of the worst days of the Rossi era.

Of the four bikes, the two official ones of Rossi and Vinales and the two SATs of Johann Zarco and the Malaysian Hafizh Syahrin, only that of the Spaniard reached the final phase of qualifying (eleventh time and fourth row, ed.) and the problems are always the same , known, but so far unsolvable.

What is worrying, in addition to the season now coming to an end, is the gap with Ducati and Honda, which could be unbridgeable in 2019 too. Here's what Valentino Rossi said at the end of qualifying which saw him finish eighteenth, his worst result in MotoGP since Assen 2006.

“The day started in a negative way since this morning. We tried to make some changes but I was going quite slowly. It's really very difficult here, then I also slipped. I had to do Q1 and I didn't make it, we waited too long and I didn't have time to do the lap – said Valentino Rossi – In the afternoon we made other changes but I was slow, as in FP4. Shift after shift you increasingly have the feeling that what you do in the garage doesn't make a difference. You can't improve and the problems are always the same.”

WORST QUALIFICATION SINCE ASSEN 2006

“I remember, in practice I had a big “bang” and I fractured my wrist, but then in the race, if I'm not mistaken, I finished seventh. Coming to Aragon I was worried, because historically it is an enemy track. We had already done badly at Misano, a track that suits the bike instead. Tomorrow we will try to make further changes. Maverick (Vinales, ed.) didn't do badly in FP4, we'll try to get some points.”
