MotoGP: Gigi Dall'Igna in the "middle" of Nicky Hayden's future

If the current Aprilia engineer accepted the Ducati offer, Team Aspar could opt for a Honda RCV1000R

Nicky Hayden's future seems linked to that of Gigi Dall'Igna, who could accept Ducati's proposal to take the "helm" of the MotoGP racing department. The Eng. of Aprilia had rejected the first approach of the Borgo Panigale team, not for economic reasons, but for technical reasons. In fact, he would not have had "carte blanche" on the project and on the men who would have been part of it.

However, things seem to have changed and Ducati, as reported by Sportrider.com, would have made a new offer to Gigi Dall'Igna, this time complying with all the requests made. However, this would lead to a rethink by Team Aspar on the continuation of the relationship with the Noale manufacturer.

In fact, the technical guarantees that only Dall'Igna can give would be missing and therefore "work" began to put Nicky Hayden on a Honda Production, which impressed Casey Stoner well in the very recent tests.

Dall'Igna is also apparently trying to convince Hayden to follow him to Ducati, but Kentucki Kid has no intention of getting on a bike from a manufacturer that before Laguna Seca "dumped" him without mincing words, and moreover not on one of the internal team.

Luckily something seems to be moving.

However, if this were the case, 2014 would be another year to "forget" because at this point it is difficult to believe that there will be a new Ducati for next year, above all, a competitive Ducati.

Anyway, welcome Gigi. In Aprilia he has done and is doing excellent things.

I still don't believe it, but from what is written above, he seems intent on joining Ducati.

    Let's hope!

At this point Espargarò was right to leave...

I hope not, more for Aprilia than for Ducati.

There is a serious project for the RSV4 in the MotoGP version (that is, proprietary software, like Honda, Yamaha, Ducati...).

Ducati already has several technicians who were previously at Aprilia (frame builders), and if what is written above happens, others will arrive...

    And Aprilia will lose out…

Ducati a technician with counters…. he already had it...

Yes, Ducati had an engineer with those, but he left.

      Why?
Because he had made a Ducati that wasn't right (or was it the rider who should have made the most of it that wasn't right?).

      Only He paid, unfortunately.
Due to the lack of foresight of the previous management group and (I am fully convinced) because someone, to cover their own expense, placed all the blame on the way and consequently on the project.

For me ligera, the forum relationship with you ends here.
It is clear that answering you is useless.
For me, replying to you was "annoying" after just a few of your replies.
You have demonstrated this in all our discussions.
        Then:
        Take good care of me.

How nice to be wrong in certain situations.
I thought that in the end, the engineer would remain in Aprilia, however, just today I read that we are just waiting for the official announcement.

    Speremma!!!!

I'm already thinking about a Ducati with the ART chassis and the (revised) Rossa engine.
Who knows, maybe it's the right time for a return in style.

1°) The "hunchback", Gob-maier or whatever the devil is spelled, shouldn't even have "turned" into Borgo Panigale.
2°) I hope that we are able to return in style, so that certain riders eat themselves in order: nails, fingers, hands, arms up to the elbows.
