MotoGP Estoril: Tests canceled due to bad weatherMotoGP Estoril: Tests canceled due to bad weather

Bad weather dominated what was supposed to be the post-GP testing of the Portuguese Grand Prix. The rain that fell all night and continued into the morning effectively canceled the test. No driver took to the track and the tests were canceled until further notice. In fact, the recovery date has not yet been decided.

Bad news for all the teams and in particular Ducati which today was supposed to test new engine parts that were supposed to "soften" the GP12 engine, as loudly requested by Valentino Rossi. Honda should have instead tested the new medium compound front tire brought by Bridgestone, used yesterday by Yamaha but not by Stoner and Pedrosa. Yamaha, on the other hand, had engine tests scheduled, which were not yet up to the standard of those of Honda and Ducati.

What a p*** this weather is!!! But dirty slut!!!
I didn't expect tests to get Ducati back into contention for the world championship... but at least see a few more ingredients in the beautiful soup that is the GP16... and you never know it could be the "right" one.
The only positive note is that in this way Stoner will have to adapt to the new tyre, if and when it becomes unique, with some disadvantages, at least perhaps it will be a little limited... even if I hardly believe it, given that it is a war machine and is in a state of absolute grace!

      Very true!
He also adds that while he is in a state of absolute grace, the others are all in... disgrace!

The weather has nothing to do with it, it's this wicked regulation that doesn't allow tests, whether public or private, effectively excluding the possibility for Ducati to close the gap that separates it from the best.
Valentino and Nikky need to ride a lot, as happened at the time of Yamaha's rebirth.
Let's hope they at least give the opportunity to recover these tests.
I can't wait for this Dorna to fail, and for them to give us a real prototype championship again.

In fact, they are bullshit rules... you can't limit the tests to reduce costs... after all, those who hold money run the race...!
Then having eliminated the 125 & 250 in my humble opinion is really a slut as they have converted a "brand" championship where everyone did their best to come out with the best to a "single brand" championship if we want, which for me consists of having the Aprilia chassis , the KTM gearbox, the Honda engine, the Gilera swingarm etc etc...! They have reduced the Circus (I mean everything, not just MotoGP) to clowning!

I think a group of primary school children can do better than Ezpeleta and Ecclestone…..

They must not limit engines, tests etc... but eliminate electronics and other bullshit that involve developments with pharaonic costs, such as the simeless gearbox (how do you spell it? I don't know).
Make a single control unit, but a scrupulous control unit, one of those with three functions and which never breaks….

And then they have to remove the other bullshit of the fuel limiter....ok they do research that spills over into mass production.... blablabla…(urban legends, unless we have 20.000 euros for a Ducati Panigale) but if I go to watch a race where in the last laps the riders are holding on so as not to run out of petrol and go slower, all of this is big bullshit ……I already see that show, every day on the Bologna ring road at 19.00pm in the evening….
