MotoGP – Estoril QP1 – Capirossi optimistic thinking about the race

You can be optimistic starting from twelfth position on the grid. According to Loris Capirossi, yes, absolutely, thanks to a good pace shown in the free practice sessions and an optimal balance of his Suzuki GSV-R XRG1. In fact, the driver from Imola aspires to a good result for tomorrow, with the only difficulty deriving from the start, where it is mandatory to stay away from problems in order to start setting a good pace to recover.

“We have to think about tomorrow, because qualifying went badly today”, says Loris Capirossi. “I fell on my first attempt, but all in all I remain optimistic about the race. We have a good balance and we are competitive in terms of pace. The problem will be at the start, starting from the back isn't the best but if I stay away from possible contacts I think I can make my pace without problems. I'm more optimistic than Jerez, so tomorrow can only go better.".

We remember that in Jerez de la Frontera Loris Capirossi finished in fifth position after a good comeback from tenth position on the starting grid.
