MotoGP – Estoril Day 1 – Excellent tests for Pedrosa

Dani Pedrosa, “Rookie of The Year 2006” concluded the first day of free practice in Estoril in fifth position, just 368 thousandths of a second from Casey Stoner's best time. The Honda HRC rider no longer suffers from the physical problems that slowed him down in previous races and wants to return to fighting for the top positions.
“Today we had some excellent tests. With the Team we are looking for the best setup and the right tires for the race. There are still some areas to work on and tomorrow I hope to be able to improve. Compared to the last 2 GPs I feel much better, both mentally and physically. The Estoril track is very different with a MotoGP, it is a very difficult circuit and I have yet to discover the secrets of riding.”
