MotoGP – Estoril – Checa is satisfied

Good seventh place for Carlos Checa in Estoril, who managed to recover starting from the fourth row of the grid. Perhaps if he had started better he could have come closer and threatened Melandri and West, but the rider is still happy with how things went after the problems he had during practice. The story of the race is up to him.

“I am very happy with the result given the problems I suffered in the qualifying tests which condemned me to starting from the fourth row of the grid. It was a good race; I enjoyed it and above all, after the start, I overtook a group of riders made up of Elias, West, Edwards and Tamada. I think that if I had started a little better, I would have been closer to Melandri and Hopkins, but apart from that, this is a good step forward taking into account that we didn't have the new tires and set-up from Honda. ”
