Casey Stoner MotoGP 2016 Motegi Team Ducati – Ducati will present itself at Motegi with only Andrea Dovizioso, as already written yesterday, Andrea Iannone withdrew, postponing his return to Phillip Island, the race following the Japanese one.

The backstory, revealed by the Sports Director Paolo ciabatti to Gazzetta dello Sport, is that Ducati had asked Casey Stoner to replace Iannone, but the Australian said no.

“We asked Stoner to take Andrea's place, but he didn't want to – said Paolo Ciabatti – And he won't be there in Australia either, in case Iannone doesn't make it.”

Stoner's decision follows the "no" already said for the Austrian Grand Prix, but which clashes with the Australian's desire to race when he was with Honda in 2015.

Someone will remember the controversy in Austin, when after the "no" from the Japanese manufacturer, Stoner made a tweet riding a road Honda (custom) writing "Thanks Team Moto Nerang for giving me a Honda to ride for this weekend!:)" which in Italian “sounds” like this “Thanks to Team Moto Nerang for giving me a Honda to race with this weekend.”

At this point you really have to ask yourself why he's still there... he does very few tests, he doesn't run races even when there is a desperate need for him, a wild card not even to talk about... for me it's too comfortable to live on memories , in life you have to put yourself out there and then you have all it takes to do well.
The only acceptable reason would be that he no longer wants to get involved and risk his life in the race and in that case the choice must be respected, so long as he speaks clearly.

Troy would have run safely...he wouldn't have been a prairie rabbit...

And then if you do a race you can really see where you are with your development as a test rider... what's missing in the bike's pace etc etc...

Well, what's the stoner doing to you... Re-Crack with Ducati too...? (from Ducati obviously)

At this point, and I say this with regret, it would be better for him to go back to his beloved fishing rods. Enough with this soap opera.

Not even on Philipe Island does he agree to run, at least if his passionate supporters realized what a joke he is.

Why did Honda make the clown last year of pretending to be offended that his alleged candidacy to replace Pedrosa wasn't accepted?

It's inexplicable, this is why he left Honda...
    Rather
    There is a difference.
This year it would be 100% groomed by Valentino who is even fitter than Lorenzo.
    So Cagoner stays fishing...
Or can you explain why, as a sportsman I recognize its value and I don't understand why it is eclipsed..

I don't understand all this nonsense about Stoner.

I don't care about what happened in Honda, the (real) reasons and whatnot, what Stoner has always maintained since he returned to Ducati is that he doesn't want to race. They pull at him from all sides, but, as he has always said up until now, there's no question of him running.

So why all this scandal? He doesn't run, he has always supported him and remains consistent with his thoughts.

I too would be immensely pleased to see him on a Ducati in a race, but it's time to resign himself, perhaps, starting to keep quiet, he'll decide to have a race.

    Great Stoner
    Great Ducati

Even before asking to compete in Pedrosa's place he had said that he didn't want to compete anymore but he wanted to do it there so the comparison is identical to this, what makes me think is what Ducati are doing with him because trying proves too little, running doesn't run, I don't know.... but how much do they pay him???

When Stoner wants to race and they tell him "no", then a comparison can be made with the period spent in Honda as a test driver, until he reiterates his "no", consistently with what has been said so far, these comparisons have no reason to exist . I have an unbridled desire to see him compete again, but I respect his decision. Is it that difficult for you?

With drivers like Stoner, the quality of the work done counts more than the quantity. If we complain about Pirro because he is a little slower than the officers, the same thing cannot be said about Stoner.
Honestly, I don't know how many times Stoner was called to ride the Ducati, but I don't even think that every time he got on it, the journalists were there writing articles and setting down times. Ultimately I don't think it's so easy to say that Stoner did few sessions, above all, given his qualities, it certainly cannot be said that his work was useless.

I give up replying to gigetto because for certain comments….
Ligeria the comparisons between the period in Honda as a test rider and the current one in Ducati are identical, never mind the fact that he no longer wants to race that he can fit, he went to Honda to be a test rider saying that he would no longer compete but he was offended because they didn't allow him to replace Pedrosa, today in Ducati they ask him to replace Iannone and he says no. His decision is respectable but where is the consistency????

    Buehehheeh Gigetto...is it you??

Lingerie, keep it short! Stoner's blood boiled on the Ducati, he spat on the MotoGP circus (and I might even agree with him) he renounced the races and said goodbye. Then he goes to Honda and gets angry because they don't let him race. And now we find him in Ducati covering those roles that according to the kangaroo....they suck. He is becoming the tronista of MotoGP! Either go or come. For me it would be nice to see him run mind you! But he's as consistent as a dick!! Where I come from…. she's a pussy! Then I understand that you defend him... but for me he remains behind the scenes now, it counts one stone.
