• Marc Marquez starts from pole for the fourth time in 2017. On the previous three occasions
Marquez was on pole at Brno in the Moto2 class in 2011 and in the MotoGP class in both 2014
than in 2016, without winning the race.

• Valentino Rossi is on the front row for the fourth time in 2017. This is his best result yet
Brno since 2009, when he took pole and won the race. Rossi's victory at Assen is the only podium in the last six races

• Dani Pedrosa, is third on the grid for the second subsequent race. This is the first time he has achieved two consecutive front rows since 2015.

• Andrea Dovizioso will start from the second row, his second best result of the season after third place in Mugello. In his four previous races in Brno with Ducati he never finished higher than sixth place.

• Cal Crutchlow, last year's winner in Brno, will start from tenth place on the starting grid.

• Jorge Lorenzo will start from the second row, with the sixth fastest time. In Brno he has been on the podium five times in the last seven years, achieving two successes, 2010 and 2015.

• Maverick Viñales, seventh on the grid, is not among the first two rows for the fourth consecutive race. He hasn't been on the podium since Mugello.

• After three front rows, Danilo Petrucci will start from eighth place on the grid. Petrucci finished seventh in Brno last year, his best result of 2016.

• The last place on the third row goes to Alvaro Bautista, who will try to finish in the Top Six for two consecutive races, which hasn't happened since 2014.

• Johann Zarco will open the fourth row. After his crash in the opening race in Qatar, the Frenchman has always scored in the points.

• The best qualified Suzuki is that of Alex Rins, who achieved 13th place on the grid, his best result in his rookie season in the MotoGP class.
